General Information about Spain Islands
The Islands in Spain are the Canary Islands and the Balearic Islands.
The seven Canary Islands are in the Atlantic Ocean, south of the Iberian Peninsula and the climate is wonderful all year round with temperatures rising above 24C in the summer and rarely falling below 18C in the winter, so any time of year is a good time to visit Canary Islands and the best way to do it is with a car rental.

They are part of Spain but are not located in the Mediterranean along with Spain's Balearic Islands. They are located much closer to Africa than the Spanish mainland.
The Canary Islands are seven. The five main holiday islands are La Palma, Tenerife, Gran Canaria, Fuerteventura and Lanzarote and the two small not so tourist islands are Hierro and Gomera.
The Balearic Islands is an archipelago of holiday islands (Mallorca, Ibiza, Minorca, Formentera) off the Mediterranean Sea, coast of Spain. Their airports are the one in Palma de Mallorca (Son Sant Joan Airport - PMI), in Ibiza (serving Ibiza and Formentera) and in Minorca (Mahón Airport - MAH).
Mallorca is the largest island, combining a little of everything, seaside tourism and spectacular mountain scenery and hiking.
Ibiza has long been famous for its rave scene and clubbing, the high-rise canyons of San António and the resort of Playa d'en Bossa. A narrow channel separates Ibiza from Formentera, the smallest Balearic with white beaches and it is only accessible by ferry.
Minorca has splendid isolated beaches and coves, and prehistoric monuments. To rent a car is the best option for discovering the remote wilderness regions.

Everything went very well. Some queueing after landing was to be expected_ but the desk was inside the terminal (so no shuttle needed)_ the car was almost brand new_ the young lady servicing us very polite and friendly and the price-quality ratio excellent. Thank you very much!
